Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Astro Edition, a limited version of its recently launched smartwatch. This Astro Edition showcases an astrolabe-inspired design on its bezel, paying tribute to the historical tool used for timekeeping and navigation. The watch is set to be accessible exclusively in the MENA (Middle East & North Africa) region, celebrating the area’s contributions to astronomy, mathematics, and time-related advancements.
This exclusive smartwatch will be available in countries including Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Türkiye. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Astro Edition is presented in a single size (47mm) and boasts an ‘Astro Bezel’ adorned with depictions of constellations, stars, and celestial bodies. Drawing inspiration from the astrolabe, Samsung has integrated astrolabe-inspired elements into the software, such as a compass complication on the dial and lunar/solar phases. This unique timepiece enables wearers to conveniently monitor the movements of the sun and moon directly from their wrist, courtesy of an exclusive watch face.
Samsung further reveals that the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic Astro Edition arrives with an exclusive purchase offer, encompassing an additional fabric strap, collectible Astro Edition items, and entry into Samsung’s VIP-exclusive promotional store. While the pricing details of the smartwatch are yet to be unveiled, it is set to be purchasable from Samsung.com starting from August 2, 2023.
